Pawlito publishes free, general pet-care education for dogs, cats, birds and small pets. Our guides explain everyday routines step by step. They are not veterinary advice, and they cannot diagnose or treat a pet.

Topics come from common pet-owner questions, including questions readers send us. For each topic we aim to follow widely accepted, welfare-first care practice and to flag clearly when a situation needs a veterinarian.

Guides on Pawlito are drafted with the help of AI writing tools and published by the Pawlito team. Instructions given to the AI require a safety-first approach: no diagnoses, no medication or dosing advice, and a clear prompt to contact a vet for warning signs.

AI tools can make mistakes. That is why every guide carries an AI-assistance note and a visible publication or update date, and why we invite corrections.

A guide only shows a named reviewer when a qualified professional has actually reviewed it. Where no professional review has taken place, the guide says so plainly (“Not yet reviewed by a veterinarian”). We do not display credentials we cannot verify.

Where a guide relies on specific published sources, we list them on the page. Guides without a source list are based on general care practice; we do not add citations that were not actually used.

If you spot something wrong or outdated, please tell us. We review reported issues, correct confirmed errors, and update the date shown on the guide when content changes meaningfully.
